Rob is a Founding Partner and Chairman of the firm’s Investment Committee. He is also on Vestar’s Management Committee, which oversees investment strategy and firm operations. From 2013 to 2022 he served as Co-President of the firm and prior to that spent ten years based in Paris as President of Vestar Europe.

Rob was previously a member of the Management Buyout Group of The First Boston Corporation, where he worked with other members of Vestar’s founding team before leaving in 1988 to launch Vestar Capital Partners.

Rob holds an MBA, with distinction, from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from Trinity College.

During his career at Vestar, Rob has served as a board director of over 20 different companies. In addition to his corporate board positions, Rob served as a member of the Graduate Executive Board of The Wharton School and the Board of Trustees of The Lawrenceville School, where he was Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the Executive Committee.
