Chris Durbin

Managing Director

Chris is a Managing Director at Vestar. He joined the firm officially in 2007, but his association with Vestar dates back to the mid-1990s, when he began designing and implementing growth strategies for several Vestar portfolio companies through his work at Mercer Management Consulting and Corporate Decisions, Inc.

Prior to joining Vestar, Chris was Managing Director of Strategy and Business Development in Bank of America’s Global Wealth and Investment Management business, where he focused on wholesale and consumer payments, brokerage, retirement products and private banking. He began his career as a forensic accountant at Peterson & Company in Chicago, where he worked on a variety of damage claim analyses in different types of commercial litigation matters.

Chris earned his BBA, summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a Notre Dame Scholar and recipient of the Raymond P. Kent Award for excellence in Finance. He also holds an MBA, with distinction, from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
