Evan Marks
Evan is a Managing Director at Vestar. He joined the firm in 2007, bringing with him more than 20 years of diverse management experience in business development, marketing and strategic planning in the Media, Internet and Healthcare sectors.
He came to Vestar from WebMD, the leading on-line provider of health information to consumers, physicians and employers. There he focused on building the nascent Internet media business, as well as the emerging business of private healthcare portals.
Prior to WebMD, Evan was Vice President of Marketing for Medco, the nation's leading prescription benefit manager, where he was responsible for providing strategic leadership and advanced business analytics to several generations of Medco senior management. Following the company's sale to Merck & Co., Evan became a member of Merck's Worldwide Business Strategy Team.
Evan began his career at Sanus (now part of Aetna), a New York-based managed services organization that owned and operated six regional HMOs across the South, Midwest and Northeast.
He's originally from Baldwin, NY, and now lives in Manhattan with his wife and three sons.
