Jack M. Feder
Jack has served as General Counsel to Vestar since the firm was founded 20 years ago, first in an outside capacity, and later as in-house counsel, beginning in 2000.
He spent over 25 years as an attorney in private practice, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and related tax issues. He was also a senior attorney in Kirkland & Ellis's private equity group and worked on several fund formations in that capacity.
Jack earned his BA, cum laude, and his JD, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Order of the Coif academic honor societies. Jack is originally from Washington, DC, and now lives in Potomac, Maryland, with his wife and three children.
