Chris A. Durbin Named Principal of Vestar Capital Partners
NEW YORK – June 5, 2007 - Vestar Capital Partners, a leading international private equity firm, today announced that Chris A. Durbin has joined the firm as a Principal of Vestar’s Resources group – a team of seasoned managers and operating executives who serve as an on-call resource for Vestar’s portfolio company management teams. Mr. Durbin will be based in the firm’s Boston office.
Mr. Durbin brings more than 15 years of operating, advising, and investing experience to the Vestar Resources team. Most recently, Mr. Durbin was Managing Director of the Bank of America’s Global Wealth and Investment Management business, responsible for Business Strategy and Growth Initiatives. Previously, Chris spent nine years in various consulting roles advising Fortune 500 and start-up companies on growth, acquisitions, and legal dispute resolution strategies.

About Chris A. Durbin Mr. Durbin has extensive experience in the financial services arena. Prior to Vestar, he was Managing Director of Bank of America’s Global Wealth and Investment Management group where he spent the past six years developing and executing revenue growth and risk reduction strategies for this $7BB business unit, including leading several mergers and acquisitions, integration, and restructuring assignments. As a consultant, Mr. Durbin advised several Fortune 500 and start-up companies on critical operating, investing and business strategies. From 1998-2001, he was Vice President with Mercer Management Consulting. From 1992-1998 he was a Manager in Corporate Decisions, Inc.’s private equity group, where he consulted Vestar Capital Partners. From 1987-1991, Mr. Durbin was with Peterson Consulting, managing forensic accounting assignments.
Mr. Durbin is a 1992 graduate of the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management-Northwestern University, where he was awarded a Master of Management, with distinction. He is also a 1987 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration, summa cum laude.
